RE: CLARIFICATION ON THE INCIDENT AT RHEMA DELIVERANCE MISSION’S “OPEN HEAVEN” PROGRAM
The attention of the leadership of Rhema Deliverance Mission, under the direction of Prophet Dr. Anene Nwachukwu, has been drawn to various media reports concerning the unfortunate incident that occurred during the Church’s “Open Heaven” program held on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
The Church deeply regrets the sudden passing of one of the attendees, AZUOMA SUCCESS who collapsed during the course of the service. We wish to emphasize that there was an immediate and coordinated response from our ushers, ministers, and on-site medical team, who promptly attended to the individual in a bid to revive her. Regrettably, all efforts to resuscitate her proved unsuccessful.
Following the incident, the matter was promptly reported to the relevant authorities, and the Church has since been in full cooperation with ongoing investigations to ensure that due process is followed and all facts are clearly established.
The leadership and members of Rhema Deliverance Mission extend their deepest condolences to the bereaved family and are providing the necessary pastoral and emotional support at this difficult time.
We respectfully appeal to members of the public and the media to refrain from disseminating unverified information or speculative reports, and to respect the privacy and dignity of the grieving family as they mourn their loved one.
