Fake Medical Report, Moral Bankruptcy And The Total Collapse Of Adetoun Onajobi’s Lies

The curtain has finally been drawn on what can only be described as a house of lies built by social media blogger Adetoun Onajobi (@justadetoun)—a structure so weak that it collapsed the moment it was confronted with lawful scrutiny.

The arrest and remand of a medical doctor for allegedly issuing a fake medical report on her behalf is not a minor footnote; it is the smoking gun that confirms what many discerning Nigerians have long suspected: that Adetoun’s sustained attacks on Governor Dapo Abiodun and the Ogun State Government were never about truth, advocacy, or accountability, but about reckless misinformation and calculated falsehood.

Let us be clear: no credible accuser hides from the law. No truthful whistleblower forges illness. And no honest critic recruits a professional into criminal misconduct just to avoid answering basic questions.

The doctor’s alleged confession—that he never met, examined, or treated Adetoun—represents a disgraceful violation of medical ethics. But even more damning is what it reveals about Adetoun herself. A person who claims to possess overwhelming evidence, yet cannot submit herself to police questioning, cannot be taken seriously by any reasonable observer. Truth does not require fake medical reports to survive.

For years, Adetoun has used social media as a weapon—bullying, harassing, exaggerating, and sensationalising issues without restraint. Her recent false narrative that Ogun State has no functional ambulance services, coupled with her vile and baseless allegations against the Governor’s personal conduct, crossed every line of responsible civic engagement. These were not harmless opinions; they were deliberate distortions capable of endangering public safety and eroding trust in government institutions.

Now, when called upon to substantiate these wild claims, she did not present evidence. She did not honour police invitations. Instead, she went into hiding and attempted to manipulate the system with a forged medical excuse. That single act renders every prior allegation suspect.

If your claims are true, you show up. If your evidence is solid, you present it. If your conscience is clear, you do not run.

What we are witnessing is not activism; it is moral bankruptcy. It is the implosion of a narrative sustained by noise rather than facts. The involvement of a compromised doctor only deepens the stench of deception and shows how far Adetoun was willing to go to escape accountability.

Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration has continued to demonstrate progressive governance through infrastructure, healthcare investment, and institutional reforms. It is therefore no surprise that purveyors of misinformation feel threatened enough to manufacture scandals where none exist. But lies, no matter how loudly repeated, eventually collide with reality.

This episode should serve as a warning: social media influence does not confer immunity from the law, and activism without integrity is nothing more than propaganda.The ongoing legal process has already done what Adetoun could not—expose the emptiness of her claims.
