Monarch Hails Tinubu For Approving Crude Oil Drilling In Ogun Waterside
President Bola Tinubu has been commended for approving the commencement of commercial oil exploration in Eba Island, Makun Omi Kingdom, Ogun Waterside Local Government Area.
In a statement signed by spokesperson, Osobia, Makun Omi, Otunba Gbenga Onayiga, the traditional ruler, Oba Kazeem Adeshina Salami said the presidential nod would make the community and the state realise their long standing aspiration of producing crude oil.
“My people are very happy that our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun worked so hard to get President Tinubu to endorse the commencement of the project which would really transform our area,” the Monarch asserted.
According to him, “Commercial oil drilling in Ogun Waterside would ensure inclusivity and empower the people of Makun Omi as well as neighboring coastal communities.”
Oba Kazeem Salami assured the Federal and State Governments that Makun Omi community would provide peaceful environment for a seamless production of crude oil in commercial quantity.
