Lagos 2027: JANDOR Set To Challenge Hamzat ….Picks Nomination Form
The campaign team of Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran JANDOR announces that he has formally purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the governorship election in Lagos State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
JANDOR’s spokesman, Gbenga Ogunleye in a statement signed on Wednesday in Lagos, said this step reflects Dr. Adediran’s disciplined adherence to the party’s established processes and his unwavering belief in the internal democratic mechanisms of the APC.
He reiterates his full alignment with the party’s official position on the adoption of direct primaries for all elective offices, and expresses confidence that this approach will further deepen participatory democracy, strengthen party cohesion, and give every member a sense of ownership in the emergence of candidates.
Dr. Adediran reaffirms his profound respect, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the National Leader of the APC and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. He equally extends his highest regards to the leadership of the party in Lagos State, its distinguished elders, and all recognized leaders whose guidance continues to shape the progressive ideals of the APC.
While expressing deep appreciation to party leaders and all stakeholders who have graciously endorsed him as their preferred aspirant, Dr. Adediran also acknowledges, with utmost respect, the legitimate rights of other leaders and stakeholders who have chosen to support other aspirants.
He emphasizes that such diversity of opinion remains a hallmark of a vibrant and democratic political party.
“Furthermore, Dr. Adediran extends heartfelt gratitude to the leadership and members of the JAGABAN–JANDOR 2027 Movement, the coalition of young Lagosians, and the broad spectrum of supporters who voluntarily contributed their “widow’s mite” towards the procurement of the forms.
He commends their remarkable sense of ownership, selfless sacrifice, and sustained confidence in his competence, capability, and capacity to advance and consolidate the progressive trajectory of Lagos State.
JANDOR assures all party members and the people of Lagos State that his aspiration remains anchored on unity, inclusiveness, and the continuous pursuit of excellence in governance under the banner of the APC.
Recall that the Governance Advisory Council, GAC, the highest political organ in the ruling All Progressives Congress has adopted the Lagos State deputy governor, Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat as its gubernatorial candidate for 2027 Lagos State Governorship election with the pledge to buy the expression of interest and nomination forms for him.
With JANDOR picking the nomination form the stage appear set for a direct primaries across the 20 local government in the State with Dr Hamzat.
