FRSC Lost Three Officers To Bandits In Kebbi

A group of gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed three Federal Road Safety Commission Officers along Tsamiya–Illo road in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The three personnel were identified as DCRMA Umar Aliyu, SRMA Ezra Manu Gona and RMA I Mansur Ibrahim Nasir.
Local Sources who spoke to our Correspondent said the officers were on official duty when they were ambushed by their attackers.
He said that, the personnel have tried to escape from the bandits who were on motorcycles but they pursued them with their motorcycles and killed them before they could escape into the bush.
According to him, the bandits numbering about 20, returned into the bush immediately after killing the FRSC personnel, and this is the fifth times they are coming to kill security officers at their duty post.
Before this latest attack on the FRSC personnel, more than 10 officers of the Customs, Immigration and Police had been killed by the terrorists group in Tsamiya/Maje axis of the Bagudo Local Government Area of the state from last year to date.
No official statement has been issued by the FRSC command in the state over the incident and calls to the road safety agency’s public relations officer were not returned as at the time of filling this report.
