Alleged Certificate Forgery: DSS Arrests Ex-Minister Uche Nnaji

Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Mr Uche Nnaji, has reportedly been arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, while preparing to board a chartered flight to Abuja.

It was gathered that the former minister was taken into custody on Wednesday at the airport.

Sources disclosed that Nnaji is expected to be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, for interrogation.

The ICPC had been on the trail of the former minister since he resigned from office last year following investigations that revealed he forged his academic certificates.

Recall that Nnaji resigned as minister of Innovation, Science and Technology when the scandal of his alleged certificate forgery became public knowledge.
