Spain yesterday reclaimed the World Cup title, with a 1-0 win over defending champions Argentina in the final played in New York, USA, before a mammoth crowd.

The win, a second world cup title for Spain after its first championship in 2010, was a well deserved triumph, as the La Rojas totally dominated play, and ensuring Messi and his soldiers had no single ahotcon target throughout the match.

It would have been a travesty of justice, had Argentina eventually won the match.

In the second half of the extra time, substitute Feran Torres, blasted a loose ball in the Argentina box past Martinez in goal for Argentina.

It was a well- deserved victory, even as Spain equally dominated the individual honours; Rodri was voted MVP of the tournament; Unai Simon won the Golden Glove award; Pau Cubarsi was voted Best Young Player, and French superstar Kylian Mbappe, with 10 goals, won the Golden Boot.

However, an interesting new world order was established in world football, as globally acknowledged Greatest Of All Time, Lionel Messi, was defeated by his football son, Lamine Yamal, bringing an era to a loud ending,.

Teacher, De la Fuente, maintained his class as he defeated his football student Lionel Scaloni, defining a new order.
