ABUJA, NIGERIA — The management and staff of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) have rolled out the drums to celebrate their Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, as she marks her 64th birthday.

In an official statement released on Sunday, October 11, 2026, the commission showered praise on the pioneer CEO, describing her as an “Amazon” who continues to show unparalleled resilience, courage, and purposeful leadership in public service.

Born to the illustrious Erogbogbo family in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on October 11, 1962, Dabiri-Erewa has dedicated her career to championing the interests of Nigerians both at home and abroad.

According to the statement signed by NiDCOM’s Director of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, her visionary leadership has been the driving force behind the commission’s success in bridging the gap between Nigeria and its global diaspora.

“Under her leadership, NiDCOM has continued to promote diaspora participation in nation-building, encourage investment in Nigeria, and advocate for the welfare and protection of Nigerians living abroad,” Balogun stated.
