Three Immigration Officers killed In Fresh Lakurawa Attack In Kebbi

Gunmen believed to be Lakurawas killed three immigration officers in Kebbi, set them ablaze, and burned their patrol vehicle.
The three officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) were killed on Thursday night when gunmen, suspected to be members of the Lakurawa armed group, attacked a checkpoint in Bakin Ruwa community of Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The incident according to an officer who would not want his name mentioned disclosed this to newsmen Saturday afternoon in Birnin-Kebbi, the State capital.
“Yesterday night, gunmen suspected to be Lakurawa attack Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) checkpoint in Bakin Ruwa community of Bagudo LGA of Kebbi State.
“They killed three NIS officer, set a vehicle ablaze, and destroyed the shelter area during the attack.” The source said.
The source also asked “What steps do you think communities and authorities can take to improve safety in situations like this.” He queried.
