Yaba LCDA Council Leader Chides Detractors Over Campaign Of Calumny

Leader of Yaba Local Council Development Area, Hon. Solomon Gbinigie, has chided those responsible for campaign of calumny against him among the All Progressives Congress members, adding that they are playing dirty politics.

Solomon, in a statement issued titled, “ Rejoinder On Campaign of Calumny” said he will not descend into the arena with those he described as ‘pigs’.

The statement reads; “ My attention has been drawn to an orchestrated campaign of calumny against my person, allegedly sponsored by one Abel Enikanologbon, where it was alleged that I physically assaulted a political associate and the Head of department for Women Affairs at the Local Govt, (Mrs) Somoye Oluwatoyin.

“This is not only outlandish but also ridiculous, as there was no time I had a verbal exchange with Mrs Somoye, how much more to have physically attacked her.  The reason for this unprovoked attack on my person and character is best known to Abel and his disgruntled sponsors.

“While I have briefed my lawyers on the necessary legal steps to take in seeking redress, I am using this medium to inform unsuspecting members of our great party and the general public of this development and advising them to disregard such preposterous messages, and many of such that may still be shared across different social media platforms.”

REJOINDER ON CAMPAIGN OF CALUMNY

My attention has been drawn to an orchestrated campaign of calumny against my person, allegedly sponsored by one Abel Enikanologbon, where it was alleged that I physically assaulted a political associate and the Head of department for Women Affairs at the Local Govt, (Mrs) Somoye Oluwatoyin.

This is not only outlandish but also ridiculous, as there was no time I had a verbal exchange with Mrs Somoye, how much more to have physically attacked her.  The reason for this unprovoked attack on my person and character is best known to Abel and his disgruntled sponsors.

While I have briefed my lawyers on the necessary legal steps to take in seeking redress, I am using this medium to inform unsuspecting members of our great party and the general public of this development and advising them to disregard such preposterous messages, and many of such that may still be shared across different social media platforms.

We are in the political season and we should expect the pigs to begin to drag us to wrestle with them. We will not be moved.

I remain committed to our party and its leadership as we march on to the coming party primaries and general elections.

I thank you all.

Hon. Solomon Gbinigie

Leader of The House

Yaba Local Council Development Area
