Kidney Donor Not A Minor, UK Court Rules, Remands Ekweremadu, Wife In Prison Till August 4

Respite seem to have come the way of Mr and Mrs Ike Ekweremadu as the Westminster magistrate court in the UK ruled that David Ukpo, a purported kidney donor for their daughter, Sonia is not a minor.

The court gave the ruling on Thursday when the former deputy president of the senate, and his Beatrice appeared for trial.

Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice wife are facing charges bordering on conspiracy to arrange/facilitate the travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.

Meanwhile, the court has remanded Ekweremadu and his wife in prison till August 4, 2022 for the continuation of the case.
