Security, 2023 Elections, Dev’t To Be In Focus As Oke Ogun People Meet In Otu, Sept 10

The increasing Insecurity and the forthcoming general elections are going to be on the front burner of deliberations of Oke ogun people as they converge in Otu on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

Coming on the auspices of Oke Ogun Development Consultative Forum, ODCF, the meeting will also be used to deliberate on development issues concerning Oke ogun region of Oyo State.

According to the spokesman of the organisation, Comrade Jare Ajayi, quoting the President of the umbrella body for Oke-ogun, ODCF, Dr Segun Ajuwon, the agelong suffering of the people of the region is of serious concern. So is the difficulties being put on the way of farmers and traders in the area by armed Fulani herders and kidnappers who continue to constitute danger for the people.

“These are going to be discussed with a view to finding a way out”.

He added that the occasion will also be used to inaugurate a new Executive Council to steer the affairs of the organisation for the next three years.

The General Meeting which begins at 11.00am, holds inside Otu Town Hall, headquarters of Itesiwaju Local Government Area, Oyo State.
