How EFCC Operatives Pulled Down Doors Of Sokoto Bizman’s House Without Search Warrant
Residents of Kwantagora area of Sokoto have accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of carrying out raid and wilful destruction of property.
Operatives of the anti graft commission in a gestapo style according to inside source earlier today broke the doors of a house of Sokoto businessman and APC stalwart Usman Mohammed without search warrant and destroyed other household items in the process.
The stern looking operatives according to an eyewitness account was shooting sporadically into the air to scare people from recording them while the operation lasted.
They later zoomed off when they couldn’t find anything incriminating or money stashed in the house.
A source who witnessed the drama while it lasted said it was a purely brigandage.
“How lawful is it to break into another man’s property, albeit residence without search warrant, even if you’re acting on a tip off? It’s purely brigandage.
“They were on illegal raid allegedly looking for exhibit like cash in order to implicate and arrest the owner”, said the source.
