The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has commended members of National Assembly their the extension of January 31 deadline of final withdrawal of old currency notes by the the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

A signed press statement by the National President of the association, Khalil Bello read that: “KACRAN’s commendation to our esteemed Members of the National Assembly is based on the outcome of the joint session of the two Chambers held on 14th, January, 2023, after which they unanimously decided to call on the Central Bank’s Governor to as a matter of utmost importance save the Nigeria’s economy from avoidable collapse by extending the withdrawal period of the old currency notes to June 2023.”

Bello added that: “Truly, the Honourable Members of our National Assembly acted promptly and thus deserve the highest commendation not only by Kulen Allah Cattle Rearer Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) but by all well-meaning Nigerians.

“At this crucial time, they proved to Nigerians and the entire world that they are good representatives who are there to defend the interest of the people as well as the nation’s economy.

“It is in line with their courageous and patriotic actions that, on behalf of the entire members of our association and other good people of Nigeria that we passionately wish to most respectfully appeal to them to kindly remain resolute in their very strong legislative stand to defend/safeguard the interest of their fatherland and that of our vulnerable and down trodden masses, by making sure that at any Consititutional cost including mounting excessive pressure on Mr President to force the Central Bank Governor reverse his dust raising decision.

“What we are humbly advising them to do is, since (he) CBN governor is saying there is no going back on the ultimatum for the withdrawal of old currency notes, they should therefore use their legislative power to make him do the needful that will satisfy the generality of Nigerians. Majority of Nigerians are calling for the extension of the period for the withdrawal of the old currency notes to December 2023.”

Bello added that the actions of the National Assembly is viewed by KACRAN, as an act in strong defence of the Nigerian masses.
