Remi Tinubu, Nana Shettima In Kebbi, Organise Town Hall Meeting For Women

Wives of the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the running mates, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Hajia Nana Shettima were in Kebbi State during the week, organized town hall meeting for women in the State to drum support for their spouses in the forth coming Presidential Elections.
The meeting was organized to facilitate closer engagement and exchange of ideas across various sectors of women society and development such as entrepreneurship, health, agriculture, politics among other issues.
Senator Tinubu emphasized the need for respect and unity among diverse traditions and religions as she promised to put incentives in place to encourage Children to go back to School, adding that the health sector would wear a new look as she promised that the successful Lagos state health insurance scheme known as ‘Ilera Eko’ would be replicated nationwide.
She express happiness that the gender violent laws has been domesticated in all the States of the Federation except one State noting that she will place more emphasis on advocacy to implement the laws and work to see perpetrators face the full wrath of the law.
Sen. Tinubu expressed gratitude to the turn out of women present at the meeting and the opportunity to chart a new course.
Speaking earlier, the wife of the Presidents running mate, Nana Shettima, emphasized the importance of education for the growth and advancement of women and the youth. She said “A vote for Tinubu/Shettima presidency is a vote for a peaceful Nigeria”.
The zonal coordinator of the North West Women campaign team whi is also the wife of Kebbi State Governor, Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu stated that the 1000 women present represent only a fraction of teeming women that support APC in Kebbi State.
In attendance were, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of the Speaker of the House Representatives, Mrs Salamatu Gbajabiamilla, First Lady of Imo state, Barr Chioma Uzodima, wife of Sokoto State APC Governorship Candidate and her Kebbi State counterpart, Hajia Zainab Idris amongs others.
