INEC Fully Ready For Elections In Kebbi—REC

The Resident Electorial Commissioner (REC) in Kebbi State, Ahmed Bello Mahmud, has disclosed that the Commission is fully ready to conduct the general elections which commences across the country on Wednesday.
Speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Kebbi, Mahmud said the commission is fully ready.
In his speech at the Conference, the Resident Electoral Commissioner disclosed that collection of voter cards has ended in the State until after the elections before the cards would be accessible to their owner for future elections.
He expressed that two Million, thirty-two thousand and fourty-one voters were registered across the State, while one million, nine hundred and sixty-one thousand and twenty-eight were collected leaving seventy one thousand and thirteen cards uncollectected.
Kebbi State, according to him has three thousand, seven hundred and fourty-three units and two hundred and twenty -five registration wards.
He added that the Commission has adequate logistics to deploy in collaboration with security agents whose their call to National duty has been very encouraging with the political parties through the IPAC.
On BVAS, the INEC boss explained that the technology is an excellent technology ever put in place by the Commission to be used for accreditation and authentication, adding that the BVAS has 10, MAH that can last for over 10 hours with power bank in case of eventuality.
He disclosed further that non sensitive materials to the 21 LGAs has been completed and the sensitive ones have arrived and deposited at the Central bank for distribution at the event of the Elections.
