The People Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State have alleged complicity within the Police and the APC government in the State to make live unbearable for its members by incessant harassment and detention.

This allegation was levied against the Police by the top members of the party led by Dr. Mohammed Bello Haliru while addressing Journalists on what the party described as unholy alliance between APC and the Police to undermine the growing popularity of members of the PDP.

“We have written to them we are waiting for their response, and failure to address this issues appropriately, we will take this matter to their headquarters in Abuja”.

Dr. Bello stated further that it has become glaringly clear that the APC government in Kebbi State are going to lose this election in the State based on the tremendous response and support we are getting all over the State wherever we go for campaign.

“We are therefore calling on all our people and our supporters to come out in their large numbers to vote APC out of power in the State and in the country at large.”

Like I said, “we are going to lodge this companion at their headquarters in Abuja if they fail to stop this harassment and intimidation, for your information, gentleman, twenty of our members are being arrested and detained in Police cells across the State”.

Efforts to get the Police Public Relationship Officer (PPRO) for the State, Mr. Nafiu Abubakar to clarify the allegation was not successful as various calls put across to him were not picked and text message to his phone were not replied.

However, a staunch member of the APC in the office of the State Chairman of the party who would not want his name mentioned, told newsmen that the PDP just crying fowl because they know they are no match with APC as far as this election is concern.

“Let them go to Court of law to prove their case if they have a geniue evidence to prove their case.” He added.
