Ex Lagos Labour Party Chair, Kayode Salako, Unveils PANFO …Names Foluke Daramola As Brand Ambassador

A former Lagos State chairman of the Labour Party, Comrade Kayode Salako, has unveiled a political pressure group known as Passion Alliance Forum, PANFO.

Speaking at the Inaugural meeting in Lagos on Thursday, Salako said it was the exigency of the time that birthed PANFO.

The former Labour Party chieftain said he was hounded and stampeded out of the party because his wife, Foluke Daramola-Salako is a loyalist of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He said; “Iam the former chairman of the Labour Party and former special adviser to the national chairman, Julius Abure before Divine exigency led to the formation of PANFO for vibrant and democratic order. I had earlier joined the All Progressives Congress at the formative year in 2014 before I left to join LP becaue of conflict of interest.

“I was barely in LP for a year. With my 24 member caretaker Committee we defeated the ruling APC for the first time in 24 years. They accused me of being the mole of the president elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu because my wife, Mrs Foluke Daramola-Salako is a loyalist of Asiwaju. LP wanted me to send my wife away because she was not with me in LP.

“It was a traumatic experience for me because my office was starved of fund that unless I step down, fund will not be released to the office. I was removed from office as chairman of LP because my wife, Foluke Daramola-Salako was with Tinubu. I formally withdrawn my membership from LP on 24th April, 2023.

“I also discovered during my stay in LP that the culture of operation is force.

“The 35 member exco which we unveiled today for PANFO will slug it out with the APC 27 member state executive Committee and LP 33 member Committee in the days ahead.”

He, however, said what will distinguish PANFO from other political platforms is the four core values of capacity, character, competence and social charisma which LP lacked.

Salako, however said his wife, Foluke Daramola-Salako, has graciously agreed to be the face and brand ambassador of PANFO.
