Alleged Assault:Seun Kuti’s Case Transferred To Panti
The Lagos State command of the Nigerian Police Force on Monday transferred the case of the Afro beat singer, Seun Kuti, to the Criminal Investigation Department, Panti for further investigations.
It was reported that Seun Kuti’s case was transferred to Panti after he met the Police Commissioner as promised by his lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN.
Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos police public relations officer, Seun Kuti came early in the morning and was accompanied to the headquarters by a lawyer from the chamber of Femi Falana SAN.
“He came this morning and he has been transferred to the State CID Panti.”
Hundeyin said the singer was caught on camera on Saturday assaulting a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge.
The Inspector General of Police Usman Baba Alkali ordered his arrest after the viral video.
