Fuel Subsidy: NLC Announces Nationwide Strike

The Nigeria Labour Congress has announced that unless the federal government, especially the NNPCL revert to the old pump price of PMS, the group will embark on Nationwide strike effective from Wednesday 7th June, 2023.
Rising from its Executive meeting held in Abuja on Friday, NLC President Joe Ajaero, said the NNPCL has until Wednesday to reverse the increment.
It will be recalled that President Bola Tinubu announced during his inaugural speech on Monday 29 May, 2023 that ‘subsidy is gone,’which has led to almost 200% increment of the pump price.
