Democracy Day:Idris Calls For Positive Attitudinal Change

Governor Nasiru Idris of Kebbi State has appealed to the people of the State and Nigerians to positively change their attitude to take the country to the next level of development.

In a press statement made available to Journalists in Birnin-Kebbi by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris  stated that this year’s anniversary was to commemorates the 30th anniversary of the annulment of June 12 presidential election.

Governor Idris stressed the need for the people of the State to change their attitude towards what would bring positive development not only to the entire State. 

He admonished the people to uphold the traditional value and norms of  all tradition which Kebbi State is known for. Adding that for the he Kebbi society of our dreams to be achieved all hands must be on deck.

The governor observed that: “To achieve Kebbi State of our dreams, we as citizens must first change our values, attitudes and orientation. We must see the entire State as our fatherland and we don’t have any other State except Kebbi.

Dr Idris blamed Nigeria’s socio-economic problems on lack of value orientationlike other nations of the world, “Nigeria has always had its own set of values which are expected to shape behaviors and drive the process of development.”
