10Km Road, Bridges, Culverts For Contruction In Kebbi

The Ecological Fund Office under the Office of the Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF) early in the week visited Kebbi State for inspection and data capturing for the construction of culverts and stone bridges on a 10 kilometer road.
The head of inspection team and staff assistant under the officer of SGF, Mr Shehu Usman Bala Rabi, said the project was an intervention of the third and fourth quota of 2022.ย
In a press statement made available to journalists by the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Ahmed Idris explained that the work was meant to mitigate ecological problems in the affected areas of Birnin-Kebbi metropolis.
The team leader appealed to the benefiting communities to extend all the necessary support and cooperation to the contractors to facilitate a good and speedy job.
Conducting the delegation round the affected areas on behalf of the state government, the Secretary to Kebbi State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida assured the people of the area that government was determined to address their plights.
He said the essence of the inspection tour was to assess the level of ecological damage with a view to proffering solution.
The SSG assured the people that the state governor would key into the construction project in order to avert erosion problems and collapse of building in the areas.ย
Bala Tafida sought more support and cooperation to government policies and programmes to enable the new administration under His Excellency, Dr Nasir Idris effectively delivers the dividends of democracy to all nuks and crannies of the state.
The project is to cover corner hotel Badariya, Rugar Fulani, Malala to Takalau and Kofa Subuwa, all in Birnin-Kebbi metropolis.
Responding on behalf of the benefiting communities, Malam Ayyuba Gamji Andi appreciated the government for coming to their aid and prayed for more developmental projects in the area.
