Salvationists Converge On Lagos For ‘Back To Bethel’

Comrades and friends of The Salvation Army, an evangelical church and the largest denomination known internationally for its humanitarian services, will on Friday, May 3, gather at their Ejigbo branch in Lagos for a programme tagged “Back to Bethel”.

This was made known in a statement issued today by the chairman of the programme planning committee, Brother Stephen Agbasiere, and made available to this paper.

According to Agbasiere, Back to Bethel is a weekend evangelical programme which will end on Sunday, May 5 with the theme: Pursue, Overtake and Recover.

“Bethel is biblically a place of encounter. We are going Back to Bethel to have an encounter with God for healing, deliverance, miracles, as well as receive powerful messages that will be delivered by anointed men of God. We are inviting the general public to join us as we pray for the nation and for ourselves.

“The programme will also feature music & praises, Youth Hour and more. For the Youth Hour segment which has been slated for Saturday, May 4, we have selected professionals from various disciplines who will ignite these youths to chase their dreams and reclaim hope. We want to let them know in practical terms that they can be whatever they want to be in life if they keep hope alive and work assiduously towards it,” he narrated.

According to Agbasiere, the youth seminar segment of the weekend programme will feature panel discussions on “Navigating the business and career terrain” as well as a question and answer (Q&A) session, and will be beamed live for youths around the world to participate.

The Salvation Army is known worldwide for adopting military terms and ranks for its operations.
