Women Join Forces with Residents In Zamfara To Combat Armed Bandits; Sons Kidnapped In Anka

Residents of Ruwan Dorowa, a community in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, successfully thwarted an attack by armed bandits on Monday night, showcasing remarkable resilience and solidarity.

According to local sources who spoke to PRNigeria, the assailants invaded the community with the intent to steal livestock, harm residents, and abduct individuals for ransom.

However, their plans were quickly disrupted by the determined villagers, who organized a fierce counteroffensive.

An anonymous source described the harrowing scene, stating, “The residents engaged the terrorists in a gunfight that lasted several hours. Their courage was extraordinary, with the women of Ruwan Dorowa joining their husbands in the defense of their community, taking up arms to repel the attackers. It was both remarkable and inspiring.”

In a separate incident, terrorists targeted Anka town the same day, abducting two sons of Alhaji Bello Karfen Gada from the Galadanchi area.

Fortunately, reports indicate that one of the abducted sons managed to escape from the captors.

As tensions rise in Zamfara State amid increasing violence from armed groups, the actions of the Ruwan Dorowa residents highlight the community’s commitment to self-defense and resilience in the face of adversity.
