Just In:Appeal Court Suspends Justice Peter Lifu’s Judgment Deregistering ADC And Four Other Parties

The Court of Appeal has suspended the execution of the judgment delivered by Justice Peter Lifu deregisterimg African Democratic Congress, and four other political parties.

According to the news monitored on Channels Television on Tuesday in Lagos, the appellate court in its ruling described the development as the highest form of judicial impertinence, stating that the trial judge brazenly disregarded its earlier order.

Recall that Justice Life yesterday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to deregister five political parties despite appeal court order staying action on the case till October 27, 2026.

Meanwhile, INEC, has also filed a stay of execution order against the ruling.
