NiDCOM Partners NIMC On Digital Development
The Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NiDCOM), Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa has commended the resourcefulness, reforms and administrative ingenuity of the Director General of the National Identity Management Commission(NIMC), Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, for expanding the digital space in infrastructure management for National Development.

The NiDCOM Boss in a statement signed by Violet Nwosu stated this during a strategic meeting between top level management of NiDCOM and NIMC aimed at strengthening digital identity, digital payment and digital trust exchange.
Dabiri-Erewa is convinced that the partnership and collaboration will ensure seamless digital ecosystem especially for Nigerians in the Diaspora for data mapping adding that NIMC is the largest database of identity in Africa.
She described the signing of the new NIMC act by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a positive development and a leap to the nation’s digital transformation.
The Director General, National Identity Management Commission (NiDCOM), Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote welcomed Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa and her Team with ecstatic enthusiasm describing NIDCOM as Home of identity for Nigeria and Africa.
She stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with Mr President’s assent to the NIMC ACT 2026 ,they have commenced onboarding of Stakeholders across strategic Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs) to ensure that the reforms meet expected outcomes and deliverables. According to her, NIMC has been keen to quickly access the Public Digital Infrastructure.
Engr. Coker-Odusote further stated that her goal is to ensure that NiDCOM is integrated into the NIMC Reform Portal where links and messages will be shared almost immediately and seamlessly too.
The Director General, NIMC,commended Nidcom for starting a registration data portal for Nigerians abroad and pledged NIMC ‘s cooperation and collaboration.
Other management Staff on both sides commended the partnership adding that a National Digital Governance Structure has berthed, strengthening Digital Identity, Digital Payment and Digital Data Exchange and Trust Anchor.
