2027: “We’re Ready To Deliver Lagos For Tinubu,” Says JANDOR As Lagos4Lagos Meets Obanikoro With Mainstream Clout
LAGOS — In a major political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections, All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant, Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly known as JANDOR, has led about 300 members of his influential Lagos4Lagos movement to meet with Senator Musiliu Obanikoro at Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat Campaign Office at the Government Reservation Area , Ikeja on Thursday as the preparations for 2027 general elections have begun in earnest, positioning his structure as a critical force needed to secure a massive victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during a high-stakes meeting, JANDOR made it clear that while his movement possesses the political muscle to challenge the party’s establishment, they have chosen to prioritize the bigger picture: safeguarding the presidency of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and ensuring the party’s total victory at all levels.
Choosing Loyalty Over Internal Clashes
Reflecting on his political journey, JANDOR recalled his exit to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2022, noting that the move was necessary to prove the strength and viability of his structure. Now returning after a strategic meeting with President Tinubu, the former gubernatorial candidate emphasized that his loyalty remains firmly with the President.
“If we have gone into primary with you, we’ll beat you, sir,” JANDOR said, directing his comments to Senator Obanikoro.
“But that will amount to contesting against Mr. President. We have an ambition, but we’re ready to support whoever the party chooses.”
JANDOR underscored the high stakes of the upcoming election, declaring that securing a flawless victory for President Tinubu on the first ballot is non-negotiable.
“We must right the wrong of 2023 and win Lagos massively for President Tinubu this time around. He has been winning for you in Lagos, this is the time to recompense him.”
A Conditional Pledge for Local Integration
While pledging his movement’s readiness to hit the ground running, JANDOR laid down a clear marker regarding how his grassroots base expects to be treated.
Despite not holding any local council seats, the Lagos4Lagos movement has consistently proven its ability to mobilize voters across the state’s wards and local governments.
Addressing the integration of his followers into the mainstream party architecture, JANDOR stated a firm condition for cooperation:
“We are ready to work for the party, but we’ll only work for those who call us.”
The statement signals that while Lagos4Lagos is fully back in the fold, they expect true inclusion, respect, and an active seat at the strategy table rather than being sidelined.
APC Leadership Welcomes the Boost
The Director-General of the Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat (KOH) Campaign Organisation, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, warmly received JANDOR and his entourage, acknowledging the serious, organized nature of JANDOR’s campaign machine.
Obanikoro urged mainstream APC members to cast aside past friction and focus on integration, praising the incoming strength of the Lagos4Lagos structure.
He noted that uniting under the banner of Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat for the 2027 gubernatorial race will ensure that Lagos—the fifth-largest economy in Africa—remains out of “unprepared hands.”
