Cross-Party Alliance: Peter Obi Joins Seyi Makinde In Abuja As APM Unveils 2027 Campaign Headquarters

Oyo State Governor and APM presidential hopeful Seyi Makinde formally commissioned his presidential campaign headquarters in Abuja, utilizing the platform to urge opposition parties to form a unified front ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration drew unexpected high-profile attendees, including Nigeria Democratic Congress candidate Peter Obi, signaling a potential cross-party alignment under Makinde’s “Reset Nigeria Agenda”.

The governor, who expressed appreciation to those who attended the event, particularly Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, said the opposition must unite in the 2027 election.

“Today’s commissioning of our campaign office in Abuja is another step towards our goal to build a country that works for every Nigerian under the Reset Nigeria Agenda,” Makinde said in a statement posted on his X handle.

He added: “Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who was a part of the event including my brother, HE Peter Obi.”

Makinde further said, “As I said in my remarks, the opposition must work together in the forthcoming 2027 election.”
