Anambra Police Arrest Woman Over Viral TikTok Child Exploitation, Rescue Four Children

ONITSHA, NIGERIA — The Anambra State Police Command has arrested 36-year-old Anulika Onyeanusia following widespread public outrage over a viral TikTok livestream video showing the severe exploitation of a minor.

Police operatives acting on actionable intelligence raided a residence in Onitsha on Thursday evening, September 10, 2026.

The arrest followed a viral broadcast where the suspect allegedly used a minor—believed to be her daughter—to produce explicit adult content for financial gain.

Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest in an official statement, noting that the suspect has confessed to the crime during preliminary interrogations. During the tactical operation, police successfully rescued four children aged two, three, six, and nine years old.

Detectives also recovered multiple sex toys and other incriminating items from the scene to be used as evidence in court.

The suspect’s husband has also been taken into custody and is currently undergoing interrogation to determine his level of involvement or complicity in the crime.

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, strongly condemned the exploitation, describing it as highly repulsive. He assured the public that the suspect would face the full wrath of the law as soon as investigations are concluded.

The rescued children have been placed in safe custody, and the police command is currently collaborating with child protection agencies to provide immediate medical evaluation, psychological counseling, and long-term care.
