FG Confirms Ebola Case In FCT, Identifies 44 Contacts For Tracing
ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Federal Government has confirmed an Ebola case in the FCT, Abuja, and identified 44 contacts for tracing. Health Minister Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate announced that the patient is a woman arriving from Uganda.
The patient fell ill on October 7 and entered a private FCT hospital on October 11 before testing positive for the Bundibugyo strain.
She is currently isolated and receiving care, while authorities deploy emergency measures.
The 44 contacts are under strict monitoring, and nationwide healthcare facilities remain on high alert alongside enhanced port screening.
