CIAPS To Host Public Lecture On Corruption
All is now set for the 2024 Quartey Public Lecture hosted by the Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS).
The theme of this CIAPS lecture is “Anatomy of Corruption”. The keynote speaker will be Anthony Kila, CIAPS Institute Director and Professor of Strategy and Development.
Also billed to intervene at the event are a panel of esteemed experts: Fred Nzeakor, a Legal and Public Affairs Analyst with a wealth of experience; Bala Zakka, an Accountant, Engineer and Tax Expert; and ICAN district Chairman; Debo Adeniran, a Consultant Educationalist and Pioneer Secretary-General, Committee for the Defence of Human Rights; and Nabilah Usman, an Editor, Writer and Broadcast journalist.
The event will be held at the CIAPS Auditorium on Thursday, May 9th. It will start at 10 a.m. and end at 12 noon, but the red carpet and cocktails will open at 9 a.m. Drinks and music will follow later.
Commenting on the CIAPS Public Lecture series, CIAPS Events Manager Bisola Ojo noted that the event is not just a lecture but a platform for interactive discussions and learning.
She underlined that this event is ‘“part of our efforts to understand and help to improve the world we live in. A lecture like this is an opportunity to engage with professionals and the public on issues that will soon affect their world”.
