Ajanaku Reaffirms Commitment To Spiritual Stewardship As Ondo Information Ministry Holds December Prayer Meeting
The Ondo State Ministry of Information and Orientation on Monday held its December 2025 monthly prayer meeting at the office of the Commissioner, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, with all members of staff present for a session marked by worship, reflection, and renewed commitment.
The gathering opened with an uplifting praise and worship session led by Aro and Sax before the hymn “My Faith Looks Up to Thee” was taken by the congregation.
Delivering the exhortation, Pastor Babatope Akanbi spoke on the theme “God Will Never Share His Glory With Anybody,” urging staff to honour God in all circumstances.
He stressed that recognising God’s glory puts darkness to shame and reminded participants that divine grace has sustained everyone from January till December.
Using the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego’s miraculous deliverance from Nebuchadnezzar’s fire, he also highlighted the supremacy of God, drawing from Isaiah 48:11.
In his address, Commissioner Ajanaku reaffirmed his unwavering belief in prayer, saying he never jokes with God’s grace which has shaped his journey in life and public service.
He described Ondo State as a land where “God reigns,” recalling the legacies of spiritual icons such as Late Prophet T.O. Obadare and Baba Akindayomi, founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
He added that Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa also places strong emphasis on spiritual grounding, as demonstrated by the monthly praise nights he convenes.
Hon. Ajanaku assured staff that the ministry will continue to uphold a culture of prayer, noting that the progress witnessed across the state under the OUR EASE development agenda is a testament to divine guidance coupled with dedicated governance.
He declared that his office would henceforth remain a monthly altar of worship, where God’s hands would continually be lifted in praise.
He charged staff to remain diligent, united, and committed to restoring the full glory of the Ministry of Information and Orientation.
The meeting also featured an important announcement as Pastor Boniface Oladimeji disclosed that he will retire on January 10th, 2026.
He formally handed over the coordination of the monthly prayer meeting to Mr. Tony Adetoye and Engr. Ogidan.
Special prayers were offered for them and for all December celebrants.The session closed with renewed dedication among staff to uphold spiritual values, strengthen unity, and continue contributing to the state’s progress.
