CSR:CHESTRAD Global Visits Onikan Maternity Center,  Red Cross Orphanage, Donates Clothes

CHESTRAD Global, an international non profit, non governmental organization rounded up its 2022 activities with donations to Onikan Maternity Center and Red Cross Orphanage.

Led by Philomena Ughe, business and Operation Manager.

Others in her entourage were Mr. Tayo Raimi and Oluyemisi Ajayi. 

At Onikan Maternity Center, CHESTRAD Global team met with the Hospital management team led by Dr Peters, its managing director/CEO, Dr Adejonwo, Mr Alabi (HOD Admin), Mrs Aribo (Apex Nurse), and Mr. Olaonipekun (HOD Welfare)

Philomena Ughe who spoke on behalf of the CHESTRAD team said the main purpose of the donation was to create awareness regarding regular donation and support to Women and young Children through its program, “I WILL GIVE” and Financial Inclusion Service.

50 clothe materials were distributed at the pediatric and the main wards.

An elated Onikan Maternity Center officials appreciated CHESTRAD Global for the good gesture and promise to follow it up with letter of appreciation.

At the Nigeria Red Cross Motherless/Orphanage Home clothe materials were also donated.

The centre located at No 2 Makoko Road, Yaba, Ebute Meta received 55 Ankara clothes, which were given to the children. The clothes were well received and appreciated by the home.

Although, the team was not allow access  to see the children as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, but the children were permitted to show appreciation as they waved to the Global team through the windows.

About 105 clothe materials were distributed at the two centres during the visitations on Tuesday , December 13, 2022.

Chestrad Global was also at Ile-Ife where the representative  joined the Ife Ooye Elegant Women’s Association at its annual  celebration, convening for widows and elderly women in Osun state.  

Mrs Olabisi Akinbode,who represented CHESTRAD said; ”our participation assessed the unique contribution of the Elegant Ladies and welcomed the Association to membership of our Tariro Citizens Hub in Olode, Osun state.  

“Our initial intervention is to provide 15 widows with COVID-19 Bounce Back Financial Inclusion and Services Support.” She added.
