From Ayodele Ajoge, Birnin-Kebbi
The Kebbi State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have alleged that some undemocratic elements among the rank and file of the opposition party have hatched a plot to right this Saturday rescheduled governorship election in the State.
Addressing a pressure conference at the gubernatorial campaign office in Birnin-Kebbi, the Director General of the party’s campaign Council, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu disclosed that the undemocratic forces planed to add voters number without accreditation, delay of voters to function slowly and disruption of Units perceived to be PDP strong hold and others.
Alhaji Shehu alleged further that this group of people also planed to cause massive cancelation of polling units that have significant support for the PDP as well as reduced the number of PDP voters across the State.
The Campaign Director therefore called on the Civil Society Organisations, Election Observers, the Police and the DSS to investigate this unholy arrangement with a view to take appropriate action to curtail it in earnest.
