Kebbi Govt Donates Foodstuff, Cash To Banditry Victims In Yauri

Kebbi State Government has distributed food items to no fewer than nine households  affected by bandits attack in Shanga Local Government Area in Yauri Emirate Council.

In a press statement made available by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris stated that the Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris supervised the distribution of the items to the the affected households at Tunga Mankera village in Shanga Local Government Area on Sunday.

Idris, who described the incident as ungodly attack assured them of his administration’s commitment to fighting crimes to ensure safety of lives and property.

The Governor, who was accompanied by the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Mohammad Zayannu Abdullahi condoled with the royal father over the persistent cases of insecurity in his domain.

 “I am going to support the security agencies in order to curb the menace across the state most especially in Yauri and Zuru Emirates where the cases of insecurity is more pronounced,” he said. 

He commended the efforts of the Nigeria Army and other security agencies in the state for their gallantry and diligent exercise which led to rescue of several kidnapped persons.

Also speaking, the Emir of Yauri Dr. Mohammed Zayannu Abdullahi thanked the governor for the visit, saying that: “this is the first time that we are going to feel the impact of a government.

“My people have been facing a lot of security challenges, we seriously need the support of government and security agencies to enable people to sleep with their two eyes close and go back to their farms cultivation and other businesses peacefully.” He said.
